Daniel J. Wiener, Ph.D, RDT/BCT
Dan, a Professor of Counseling and Family Therapy at Central Connecticut State University (CCSU), is licensed both as a psychologist and Marriage and Family Therapist, conducting private practice since 1976 in New York, Massachusetts and Connecticut and serving as Clinical Director of three private mental health organizations in New York City. He has written books, chapters and articles on the application of action methods in psychotherapy and is the founder of Rehearsals! for Growth (RfG), a drama therapy of relationships that uses improvisational theater techniques. Dan teaches workshops at professional conferences and has presented on RfG in 8 countries. In 1997 theAmerican Association for Group Psychotherapy and Psychodrama awarded him the Zerka T. Moreno Award and in 2006 the National Association for Drama therapy gave him their Research Award.
