ANSWERING THE CALL

OmegaDear Friends of Omega Theater and the OTDT Program:

Our faculty have arranged workshops and trainings elsewhere as you see. We would like to bring our faculty back to Boston to offer our unique approach to training therapists and educators in Transpersonal Drama Therapy and in Psychodrama from this same perspective.

"Our first responsibility is to answer the call of suffering."
Sufi Master Hazrat Inayat Khan

"We must recognize that the suffering of one person or one nation is the suffering of humanity."
Buddhist Master, His Holiness, The Dalai Lama

Help us to answer the call of suffering, as we train students and create a support system for our drama therapy professionals to respond to the ever growing needs of people in trauma, through supervision, support groups, ongoing training, individual consultation, conferences and networking.

Please send us your tax deductible donation through our website or  to the address below. We so appreciate your support.

Transpersonal Drama Therapy
Psychodrama and Sociatry for Transformation
Healing Society and Healing Ourselves

Saphira Linden, RDT,BCT,LCAT,CP and Ed Schreiber, TEP

Omega TheaterThis unique weekend combines Drama Therapy and Psychodrama as tools for professional and personal growth.  Brought together they amplify the possibility for change and human evolution, for individuals, groups and society. There is a shift in consciousness taking place within us and in the body of humanity. Spiritual traditions and ancient wisdom speak to this.  Likewise, Transpersonal Drama Therapy and Psychodrama for Transformation and Sociatry ( the healing of society) offer tools to access, integrate and embody the awakening process and the awakened state. Participants at all levels of experience are appropriate to participate in this workshop.  This can be a first exposure to Drama Therapy, Psychodrama and Sociatry. Seasoned learners are also welcomed and can gain great benefit.

Participants can use this workshop for credit toward Drama Therapy or Psychodrama training requirements. It is also possible to get CE Credits for addiction professionals and counselors.  The credits can often be applied by students to LMHC and social work licenses.

We will also offer ways to use these techniques in teaching one's curriculum requirements as well as working more effectively with special needs and challenging students of different ages.

Voice Movement Therapy Workshop With Deborah Crane

March 27th, 2010
Omega Theater in Jamaica Plain

Many people feel frustrated because they are not able to adequately express what they feel inside.  VMTOthers would like to expand their ability to 'speak their mind' or are overwhelmed by the thought of speaking or singing in front of others.  Still others would like to increase their ability to tap into their creativity.  If any of these describe you, this work is for you.

Voice Movement Therapy (VMT) is an Expressive Arts Therapy that integrates therapeutic work with breath, body and the voice.  Voice is a powerful tool for the expression of our inner thoughts and feelings.  Whether speaking, shouting, crying or singing, the unfettered expression of a deep emotion or a deeply held belief is transformational.

Deborah Crane is a Registered Voice Movement Therapist and has a Master's Degree from Villanova University.  She is an accomplished expressive arts therapist, trainer and performer.

Special one time introductory rate only $40 for the whole day
10:00 am – 5:00 pm
