This Psychodrama Theory and Practice residential will focus on in all aspects of the Psychodrama process. The training will involve some didactic and a lot of experiential learning. The students will experience and learn sociometry, psychodrama and group psychotherapy, all of which were developed by Jacob and Zerka Moreno. From the core techniques of doubling and role reversal to expanded multi-scene dramas, students will have opportunities to learn and participate. Students will direct small vignettes as well as full psychodramas, all of which will be focused on the participants’ issues. Students will learn to refine skills to work toward the capacity to attune to the protagonist on energetic and unconscious levels using body language and vocal tone as well as language.
