workshop is designed to assist you in the application of psychodrama,
transformational theater, creative drama and other drama therapy modalities to
a wide variety of populations, including: children of different ages with
special needs, adolescents at risk, teachers, parents, families, seniors,
groups dealing with addiction, abuse, grief, convicts and ex-convicts, physical
illnesses, hospice care, leadership training, diversity issues, and special
issues in women's and men's groups.

The
objective of this training is to insure proficiency and understanding in
ethical standards in general and in particular the NADT Code of Ethical
Principles. Ethical practices in drama therapy are concerned with resolving
issues related to practices and responsibilities in treatment, supervision and
research. Case studies, readings, and experiential work will all be a part of
the learning process. This workshop will also deal with practical issues on how
to create a career/business out of drama therapy that has high ethical
standards. Students will envision/ explore themes around their professional
growth and development. Topics include: private practice, working in a variety of
settings: clinical, educational and community development.
